Shamoon Malware Targets Italian Oil and Gas Company. This Malware is families that harmed to saudi Arabia’s largest oil prducer in 2012 & Now this time it has pointed the way towards energy sector organization mainly operating in ME (Middle East).
Prior this week, Italian oil drilling Co. Saipem was attacked & senstive files on about 10% of its servers were demolished, primarily in ME (Middle East). Saudi Arabia, The UAE & Kuwait, but also in Bharat & Scotland.

Saipem accepts that on Wednesday that the computer virus executed in systems in the latest cyber attack against its servers is a branch of Shamoon Malware to a disk wiping malware that was used in the damaging cyber attacks in past time against Saudi Aramco & RasGas Ltd & destoyed data on more than 30,000 systems.

The cyber attack against Saudi Aramco, who is the biggest client of Saipem, was ascribed to Iran, but it is not who is in background of the most recent cyber attacks against Saipem.
